Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Our objectives

TSUULL has set these objectives to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts: to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters at university; to integrate climate change measures into university policies, strategies and planning, to improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning; to promote mechanisms for raising capacity for effective climate change-related planning and management with partner universities in least developed countries and small regions in the country, including focusing on women, youth.

What we do?

          

Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, supporter the initiative and joined the national project "Green Space", by planting 100 pines, 50 fruit and ornamental trees in the courtyard of the university on 19th of March. B.Khalikov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational issues of the university, also participated in the process. In the process, 10 representatives of administration of university and 64 students took part of this project. (pdf fayl tsuull energy efficient)
Furthermore, in 2019, TSUULL set a “Save the Planet” program for all members of university starting with university staff and students which struggles to achieve that all TSUULL buildings and facilities will be operated in the most energy efficient and integrated manner so that we can focus our energy strategies on constructing and maintaining a university that educates, enriches and engages. Moreover,  TSUULL will demonstrate commitment to our community and leadership in our industry by reducing environmental impacts associated with our building energy use. (pdf fayl tsuull program)

TSUULL has also green building management team which addresses the evaluation, operation, and maintenance of energy systems in buildings of university and introduces concepts of alternative and renewable energy sources that allow for efficiency, cost reduction and mitigation of the impact on the environment.
