The training aims to provide participants with the skills and tools enabling them to assess, identify and analyse the root causes of and the potential contributing factors to gender-based violence through their youth work at the local level to understand the gender problems context, and thus be able to tailor interventions that reflect community’s gender norms and culture.
At the end of training participants presented the root causes of the various forms of gender-based violence; integrated preventive and response measures in their youth work or practices; and illustrated how different sub-groups and LGBTIQA+ persons within their community are affected by social, psychological and emotional consequences of gender-based violence.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Gender has an impact on nearly every aspect of life and does play a major role in most of today's crucial discussions on equal opportunities and rights. The interdisciplinary training-courses prepare youth to examine the complex constructions of gender throughout history and time as well as in different cultural contexts and social processes so that they can contribute to the positive impact of inclusion and gender diversity on the broader community.
