We have also created a program called "Healthy Diet" has been developed to promote a healthy lifestyle and proper eating habits among university students. It can be challenging for students to prepare healthy, vitamin-rich meals in a timely manner. However, with the help of qualified trainers students can learn how to quickly prepare nutritious meals and in what order to consume them.
The Healthy Diet training session takes place twice a week: two days of theoretical lessons and one day of practical training. In the theoretical sessions, students discuss vitamin-rich recipes, while in the practical sessions, they have to demonstrate the knowledge they have gained by preparing healthy meals and showing instuctions to them. This program lasts for three months and is funded by the university. Interested students can apply starting in September.

LOCAL

The “Ending poverty by education” project has been launched in our university which focuses on providing master class lessons for the teachers in districts and for the school pupils. Our university, TSUULL, is proud to contribute to this important initiative.

On October 22nd of this year, our 10 teachers from the Foreign Languages department —R. Turdiyeva, N. Yusupova, U., and J. Radjabova—visited the 7th Public Education School and the “Yangibog’” and “Bahor” communities to organize workshops and masterclass lessons. As part of this project, we established necessary arrangements to provide methodological support to teachers in collaboration with the school principal and the deputy principal responsible for spiritual and educational affairs. This aims to enhance students' reading culture and implement innovative approaches in teaching English language subjects.

In addition to promoting educational development, this project also addresses the critical issue of reducing poverty. By empowering students through education and providing them with the resources and support they need, we can help them overcome socioeconomic barriers and succeed in their studies. Our discussions with students focused on their interests and future goals, emphasizing the importance of education as a pathway out of poverty. We believe that by investing in their education, we are not only improving individual futures but also contributing to the overall development of our communities.

Our achievements

Under the leadership of the rector of the Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, has been developed a "road map" for the university's sustainability actions.

It should be noted that our university has been placed in the rank band of 300+ universities according to the results of the "THE Impact Rankings 2024" published by the Times Higher Education (THE). Since TSUULL has applied for 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and it is ranked 54 out of 1093 institutions globally.

Charity events are organized in special holidays to support and encourage TSUULL students materially. However, students who are in urgent need can reach responsible contacts and get required assistance from university. In order to decrease the numbers of dropout students, our Student Support Community investigates students who are from low-income families; victims of environmental, industrial or other disasters and internally displaced persons. Apart from material aid, we also try to provide all our students with tickets to cultural activities such as theaters, amusement parks and museums.
