Platform implementation and development
During the meeting of the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment held on 22 December 2023, and the extended meeting of the Security Council on 12 January 2024, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan underscored that the formation of national content is an imperative and a priority requirement of the current era.
In accordance with this directive, it was determined that the establishment of a modern digital platform aimed at promoting the history, culture, art, ethnography, and politics of Uzbekistan abroad, as well as facilitating the learning of the Uzbek language, is a task that cannot be postponed.
Pursuant to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-19 dated 12 January 2024, specific objectives were defined regarding the promotion of Uzbekistan’s history and culture, values, art and traditions, and achievements in science and technology abroad, the formation of the international image of “New Uzbekistan”, the creation and continuous operation of the “Uzacademy” online platform for the online teaching of the Uzbek language and regular placement of national content; as well as the organization of lectures and presentations abroad through the Alisher Navoi Centres.
In order to ensure the effective implementation of these objectives, Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature was commissioned to establish and operate the “Uzacademy” internet platform.
