Theory of literature and modern literary processes department !

    After the establishment of  Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PF-4797 dated May 13, 2016, the Department of Theory of Literature and Modern Literary Processes was established within the Faculty of Uzbek Philology.

The main activities of the department are the study of literature, literary theory, history of Uzbek literary criticism, comparative study of Uzbek and world literature, effective teaching of modern literary processes at the educational level, philologists at the level of world standards. The department regularly works with the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore,  the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan. Professors of the department B.Karimov and A.Ulugov are members of the association.

The staff of the department: 1 academician, 2 doctors of sciences, 2 professors, 3 candidates of sciences and 4 PhDs.

The scientific potential of the department is 100%.

Priorities of the department:

  • the introduction of foreign experience in the teaching of Uzbek literature;
  • the use of new technologies and modern media;
  • the development of international research projects with experienced professors in developed countries;
  • the organization of online classes with foreign state universities and mutual exchange of experience, holding international seminars and establishing continuous cooperation in this area.
