Chingiz Aytmatov Kyrgyz Language and Culture Opens at TSUULL, 23 November

Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples have common traditions, culture and values, our language, religion, history and heritage are the same. The Uzbek language belongs to the same family as the Kyrgyz language, and the speakers of the two languages understand each other even without translators.

At the same time, both languages have their own characteristics that are different from each other, and it is important to study them. For many years, there was a need to open a center where such research would be carried out and which would be a symbol of friendship and solidarity between our peoples. On 4 October 2023, the "Uzbek language and culture" center was opened at Osh State University of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Center was established in cooperation with TSUULL, and was provided with samples of Uzbek folk art, scientific, artistic and popular literature. As a continuation of these good works, on 23 November 2023, the official opening ceremony of the ‘Kyrgyz Language and Culture’ Center named after Chingiz Aitmatov' was held at TSUULL. Rare Kyrgyz language resources were presented to this Center by Osh State University.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Uzbekistan, members of the delegation headed by the rector of Osh State University,   TSUULL scientists and students and representatives of the general public took part.
