TSUULL Ranked 376th Out of 1183 Worldwide in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2023
According to the 2023 GreenMetric Ranking of Universitas Indonesia (UI), we are honored to be recognised again as the most sustainable university in the world.
We are proud to claim that TSUULL achieved the 376th Rank worldwide out of 1183 and Uzbekistan’s number 5th University in the 2023 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, released on 5 December 2023. The following six topics are examined: Infrastructure, Energy/Climate Protection/Climate Change, Waste Management, Water, Mobility/Transport and Education/Teaching/Research. The ranking compares the sustainability of 1183 universities in the world.
In 2022, TSUULL participated in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for the first time and took 507th place, and this year University has taken 376th place. This result means that the work carried out at University is strategically well thought out and the Team will continue to work further with such enthusiasm. It is worth saying that this rating summarizes the work carried out by universities in the areas of quality education and infrastructure, use of green energy, climate change, water problems, transport, science and research.
TSUULL noted the importance of community education at the institutional level, including the Green Talks initiated by the University, which has been organizing campus awareness raising events in 2023. Part of promoting a sustainability mindset also includes encouraging sustainable lifestyles that incorporate environmentally friendly principles in everyday life.
The UI GreenMetric is an annual international ranking of the sustainability performance of universities. Universities are given a score reflecting their efforts in reducing the ecological footprint of the university and sustainability education and research. The First World University Ranking on Sustainability, initiated by the University of Indonesia since 2010 to measure campus sustainability efforts. It was intended to create an online survey to portray sustainability policies programs for universities around the world. All universities in the world with a strong commitment to sustainability issues can participate in the annual UI Green Metric World University Rankings.
