TSUULL Enters World’s Most Sustainable Universities in 2022 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings
Congratulations to all Faculties, Staff and Students! We are proud to claim that TSUULL University achieved the 507th Rank worldwide out of 1050 in UI GreenMetric ranking of most sustainable universities.
The following six topics are examined: Infrastructure, Energy/Climate Protection/Climate Change, Waste Management, Water, Mobility/Transport and Education/Teaching/Research.
TSUULL noted the importance of community education at the institutional level, including the Green Talks initiated by TSUULL, which has been organizing campus awareness raising events in 2022. Part of promoting a sustainability mindset also includes encouraging sustainable lifestyles that incorporate environmentally friendly principles in everyday life.
The importance of this rating at the international level can be observed in the following numbers: in 2010, 95 universities from 35 countries participated in the evaluation process, and by 2022, the number of participants has increased dramatically, that is 1100 universities from 90 countries have been evaluated.
This year, 20 Universities of Uzbekistan took part in this ranking, among which TSUULL participated for the first time and took the 5th place.
UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is the First World University Ranking on Sustainability, initiated by the University of Indonesia since 2010 to measure campus sustainability efforts. It was intended to create an online survey to portray sustainability policies programs for universities around the world. All universities in the world with a strong commitment to sustainability issues can participate in the annual UI Green Metric World University Rankings.
