OUR UNIVERSITY HAS PARTICIPATED IN THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

An International Scientific and Practical Webinar "Regional Culture at the Foreign Language Classes at School and University" was organized in Linguistics University of Nizhniy Novgorod by the Research Laboratory of Innovative Linguodidactics on the 11th of March.
The participants of the event included Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, North-Eastern Federal University, Department of Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, Pedagogy and Psychology NSLU and others . 
Moderated by Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Research Laboratory of Innovative Linguodidactics of LUNN Glumova E.P. webinar was devoted to the principle of regionalization of modern education, which regulates various aspects of the activities of educational institutions (the content of education, mission and functions in the region, scientific work). All the speakers of the webinar such as Doctor of Pedagogics, Head of the Department of English Philology of North-Eastern Federal University -Parnikova Galina; Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor of the Department of Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, Pedagogy and Psychology- Oberemko Olga; senior teacher of  Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of  Uzbek Language and Literature- Zhumanova Zulkhumar and others noted that  the social and culture-forming function of educational institutions ,based on the principle of regionalization, is significantly expanding. The regionalization of education determines the need to form a specific regional educational space, which reflects the complex of socio-cultural characteristics of a particular region, takes into account the needs and opportunities of the individual in self-realization and self-determination in regional socio-economic conditions. One of the important principles in the process of preparing students for the implementation of intercultural communication is the introduction of a regional component into the content of teaching foreign languages. The speakers of the webinar also introduced the experience of implementing regional material in foreign languages at school and university, both during class and extracurricular activities.
During the webinar scientists from different regions, as well as young researchers from LUNN shared their experience in taking into account the linguistic, aesthetic, socio-psychological and moral regional characteristics of Russian students and potential partners in intercultural communication. Examples of the implementation of regional content were presented in English, German, French and Japanese.
