CONTEMPORARY SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO TEACHING SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN SCIENCES
On April 27, the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences at Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, in partnership with Karaganda University named after E.A. Buketov, organized an international online conference titled Contemporary Scientific Approaches to Teaching Social and Humanitarian Sciences. The conference brought forward critical discussions on the challenges and unique aspects of teaching social sciences in Uzbekistan’s educational system. Topics of particular focus included the preparation of specialists in sociology, combating violence and psychological pressure in education, and the essential role of social sciences in fostering a balanced understanding of national and universal values.
The youth of today are expected not only to acquire advanced intellectual and technological skills but also to deeply appreciate the harmony between national heritage and universal human values. Social sciences play a fundamental role in shaping these concepts within young minds, forming the foundation for a harmonious intellectual and cultural development. No matter how much we discuss or strive toward the Third Renaissance, its core principles cannot be effectively instilled in the minds of the youth without the insights provided by social and humanitarian sciences. These disciplines act as catalysts, sparking awareness and fostering unity within a nation.
At the conference, these and other pressing issues facing society were analyzed, with the discussions emphasizing the indispensable contribution of social and humanitarian sciences to the Third Renaissance and the importance of awakening the power of unity and national identity through these fields.
