Celebrating Eternal Friendship between Uzbek and Kyrgyz Peoples

The enduring bond between the Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples transcends borders, echoing through shared traditions, culture, and values. With a common language family, intertwined history, and mutual respect for each other's heritage, the relationship between these two brotherly nations is steeped in a rich tapestry of mutual understanding and solidarity.

Recognizing the importance of nurturing this profound friendship, both nations took significant steps to establish centers dedicated to the study and promotion of each other's language and culture. On October 4, 2023,  Alisher Navoi Uzbek Language and Culture Center was inaugurated at Osh State University of the Kyrgyz Republic. Not long after, on November 23, 2023, the official opening ceremony of Chingiz Aitmatov Kyrgyz Language and Culture Center took place at TSUULL.

These centers stand as symbols of unity and cooperation, fostering meaningful exchanges between scholars and youth from both countries. They serve as vital conduits for academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and the deepening of bilateral ties.

On April 24, 2024, Chingiz Aytmatov Kyrgyz Language and Culture Center at TSUULL celebrated the 85th anniversary of Osh State University with an event themed "Friendship, Culture, and Literary Relations Center." The occasion was graced by a distinguished delegation from Osh State University, marking yet another milestone in the journey of bilateral cooperation.

The event was a harmonious blend of cultural performances and intellectual discourse, reflecting the richness of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz friendship. Kyrgyz national songs resonated through the halls, courtesy of the Abdukadirov Osh Regional Philharmonic, while an exhibition showcased the cultural treasures of the Kyrgyz people. The "Kochmondor Dance," skillfully performed by Osh State University students, added to the festive atmosphere.

The academic aspect of the event was equally enlightening, with a scientific-practical seminar on 'The Role of Osh State University in the Process of Modern Education Integration.' The seminar, opened by the esteemed rector of TSUULL, Academician Sh.Sirojiddinov, underscored the importance of intellectual exchange and collaboration in achieving shared goals.

Notable attendees included Ambassador Musa Djamanbayev from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Consul General Abdurashid oglu A'zamjon from the Republic of Uzbekistan in Osh, representatives from Osh State University, and scholars and students from TSUULL.

The concert program on the theme "Osh State University - the Center of Friendship, Culture, and Literary Relations" added a touch of grandeur to the occasion, making it a truly memorable and meaningful day.

As the Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples continue to celebrate their shared heritage and forge ever-stronger bonds of friendship, events like these serve as reminders of the enduring spirit of camaraderie and cooperation between the two nations.
