In recent years, the department has implemented three research grants - 1 fundamental and 2 applied research projects:
1. Fundamental grant "OT-F1-030" Publication of a multi-volume monograph "History of Uzbek literature" (7 volumes). Project leader: Professor Sh. Sirojiddinov.
2. PZ-20170926459 - Practical grant on "History of Navoi studies (XX-XXI centuries)." Project leader: Associate Professor K. Mullaxodjayeva.
3. PZ-20170927147 - "Study of Turkish written sources from ancient times to the X-XIII centuries." Project leader: Associate Professor A.Tilavov.
International scientific activity:
Professors and teachers of the department are engaged in research and teaching with Xinjiang University of China, Bonn University of Germany, Eurasian University of Seoul, South Korea, Aegean University of Turkey, Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, Institute of Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and have been cooperating with them.
Teachers of the department visited foreign countries: N.Jabborov Baku, D.Yusupova, K.Mullahojayeva Moscow, D.Yusupova Greece, A.Tilavov Karabuk, Ankara, Istanbul, N.Jabborov and G.Ashurova in Herat.
Professors and teachers of the department have achieved the following achievements at the national and international levels:
The head of the department N. Jabborov was awarded the Medal of Fame in 2002 and took the 1st place in the IX Republican creative competition "Let's live for the motherland" held by the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan in 2020;
D. Yusupova was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education in 2020.
Q.Pardayev was awarded the Muqimi Medal of 2020.
T. Matyokubova was awarded the Gafur Gulom Medal by the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan in 2020.
Sh. Amonov was awarded a badge on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Professor Yusupova Dilnavoz Rakhmonovna was awarded the Order of "Friendship".
