TSUULL’s Integrated Institutional Role in SDG Policy Development, International Collaboration, and Multi-Sector Partne
We are recognised as one of Uzbekistan’s leading higher-education institutions in embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals into national governance, public policy, civil-society development, research, and community outreach. Through formal cooperation with regional non-government organisations, national ministries, municipal government, and international partners, TSUULL exercises direct institutional influence on SDG policy-making, implementation, monitoring, and adaptive management.
A defining characteristic of TSUULL’s impact is its dual function as both an academic centre and a strategic policy contributor, ensuring systematic integration of SDG principles across government cooperation, NGO partnerships, international capacity building, and evidence-based national reform initiatives.
1. Decent Work & Economic Empowerment
TSUULL advances SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by establishing formal partnerships with employers to support student employment, internships, and career preparation. Through a newly signed agreement with leading labour-market institutions, the university guarantees structured pathways for graduates to transition into professional roles. This collaboration enhances youth employability, aligns academic training with labour-market demands, and creates a sustainable model for strengthening Uzbekistan’s human capital.
2. Data Partnership & Youth Research Capacity
Supporting SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), TSUULL provides broad opportunities for young sociologists to participate in data collection, analytical research, and social surveys through partnerships with national research institutions. These collaborations equip students with modern methodologies in data-driven policy analysis and strengthen the university’s contribution to national databases on youth, society, and development trends. TSUULL’s involvement ensures that SDG monitoring is informed by reliable, inclusive, and academically supported datasets.
3. Senior Inclusion & Intergenerational Exchange
Aligned with SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), TSUULL hosts the “Three Generations Meeting” initiative, bringing together youth, middle-aged adults, and senior citizens. This intergenerational dialogue promotes social cohesion, preserves cultural heritage, and enhances community wellbeing. The programme also supports senior inclusion by valuing elders’ experiences, ensuring active ageing, and strengthening the social fabric across generations.
4. Youth Wellbeing & Healthy Lifestyles
Through the “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind” programme, TSUULL promotes student wellbeing and healthy lifestyles as part of its commitment to SDG 3. The initiative combines physical activity, mental-health awareness, and educational sessions on balanced living. By prioritising holistic wellbeing, the university enhances academic performance, resilience, and positive youth development, ensuring that students thrive both personally and academically.
5. Empowering Girls & Advancing Gender Equality
TSUULL demonstrates leadership in SDG 5 (Gender Equality) through targeted initiatives aimed at empowering girls and young women. The “Toward Progress with Girls” event fosters confidence, leadership skills, and future-oriented thinking among female students, especially those from vulnerable or rural backgrounds. TSUULL faculty and invited experts guide participants in exploring educational opportunities, career pathways, and self-development strategies, reinforcing the university’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
6. School Outreach & Responsibility for the Next Generation
TSUULL upholds SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities) through extensive school outreach activities. The initiative “Everyone Is Responsible for Educating the Next Generation” promotes collaboration between the university, local schools, teachers, parents, and community leaders. TSUULL experts provide methodological support, training, and mentoring, helping improve school education quality and strengthening early development pathways for children across the region.
