Rooted in a proud academic heritage since 1935, TSUULL combines innovation with tradition, fostering a cosmopolitan environment that advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the HERE Network, and the Turkic Council States Orkhon Exchange Programme, TSUULL leverages its global partnerships to address local and global challenges.
Key collaborations include cultural exchange programs with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy), computational linguistics research with the University of Bialystok (Poland), and SDG-driven educational initiatives with UNESCO and the Erasmus Office in Uzbekistan. These partnerships underscore TSUULL’s commitment to promoting high-quality education, advancing research, and mobilizing support for the SDGs. Additionally, the university’s Dual-Degree MA Programs, offered in collaboration with Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University (Turkey), focus on Tourism Guidance and Professional Interpreting as well as Computer Graphics and Media Design, equipping students with the critical skills needed for sustainable development and cross-cultural communication.
TSUULL is also home to specialized centers like the Center for Turkic Studies, which conducts research on Turkic languages, Chagatai literature, and Runic scripts while collaborating with global experts. Its joint project with the British Library on publishing rare manuscripts by Alisher Navo’i highlights the university’s dedication to preserving cultural heritage. Laboratories in Persian, Arabic, and Old Uzbek Calligraphy provide students with unique opportunities to engage with foreign specialists and ancient manuscripts, supporting deeper studies on the Great Silk Road and Central Asian history.
By aligning its educational and research initiatives with SDG principles, TSUULL promotes impactful action through interdisciplinary collaboration and solution-driven projects. Its efforts focus on fostering innovation, building capacity, and creating global perspectives among students and researchers. With five faculties and a comprehensive academic framework, the university nurtures a new generation of leaders equipped to tackle global challenges.
TSUULL’s dynamic approach to global collaboration exemplifies the power of partnership in transforming education and research. By integrating its rich cultural legacy with forward-thinking initiatives, the university continues to serve as a hub of innovation and sustainability, contributing to a better future for Uzbekistan and beyond.
