Workshops on Developing Students’ Reading Culture Held for University Tutors

On April 27, the Chair of the Department of History of Uzbek Literature, Professor Nurboy Jabborov, conducted training workshops for university tutors on the topics “Methods for Developing Students’ Reading Culture” and “Books as a Source of Spirituality, Enlightenment, and Education.”

During the seminar, tutors received valuable guidance on how to effectively use books in working with students. In particular, Professor Jabborov provided practical recommendations on:

encouraging students to develop an interest in reading,

motivating and rewarding active readers,

supporting creative and talented students.

This event is part of a long-standing university tradition aimed at promoting reading culture and intellectual growth. As per tradition, valuable books were presented to talented students, including those from families in the bottom 20% income group, ensuring that gifted students from low-income backgrounds receive strong support and encouragement.

These sessions played an important role in strengthening tutors’ methodological skills and fostering a culture of reading among students. The workshop series concluded successfully.
