“We Speak Uzbek” Club Begins Its Activities

The Republican Children’s Library continues to delight its young visitors by organizing various entertaining activities and creative master classes. Recently, another meaningful initiative has joined this list — the “We Speak Uzbek” club, which has officially launched its work.

The very first session of the club took place on October 19, and its timing was no coincidence — it was organized on the eve of October 21, the Day of the Uzbek Language. This event was initiated by the team of Uzbek School operating under Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. As part of the initiative, a free Uzbek language session was conducted for Russian-speaking children at the Republican Children’s Library.

The class was designed in a lively and interactive format, full of engaging games, fun conversations, and creative exercises that helped children learn new Uzbek words and expressions in an enjoyable way. The session was conducted by Durdona Ermatova, an enthusiastic teacher from Uzbek School who skillfully turned the lesson into a joyful learning experience.

This educational and entertaining activity not only brought smiles to the children’s faces but also kindled in them a sense of curiosity and love for the Uzbek language, which is an important part of their cultural identity. The organizers emphasized that such free and valuable lessons should become a regular tradition, helping children from different linguistic backgrounds discover the beauty of Uzbek speech.

From now on, Uzbek School will conduct similar Uzbek language master classes twice a month at the Republican Children’s Library. Parents are warmly invited to bring their little ones to join these exciting and beneficial sessions — a wonderful opportunity for children to learn, play, and fall in love with the Uzbek language together!
