Water Recycling Program Implementation
TSUULL has contracted with State Unitary Enterprise ‘Suvsoz’ to responsibly recycle wastewater. Thus, university Sustainable Practices Office monitors and controls the sewarage pipes around university to ensure leak-free university sewage joint to central network. The wastewater discharged from the city territory is transferred to the City treatment facilities by an underground pipeline system and thereafter recycled with a full range of biological treatment, including disinfection of treated wastewater with sodium hypochlorite.
TSUULL Sustainable Practices Office Team uses rain/snow waters to water campus vegetation.
With five ton rain/snow barrels, the team collects water from roof and surrounding gutters. When necessary, the water is used at the turn of a tap for watering, cleaning and washing. The containing water is used regularly to empty the space for renewal. Besides, during the rain/snow season the waters are stored in cisterns and tanks in dark and cool conditions for efficient use of hot and dry seasons. Also, the team often encourages the canteen crew to leave the water used to boil vegetables to cool so, later they can sprinkle the water over the campus plants.
