
Volunteerism, Networking and Civic Engagement: A Visit Day to NGO, 29 September
In line with the SDGs and as a part of the commitment of TSUULL to community services, University’s International Office is going to organize a trip to a nearby NGO Association of Central Asia in Uzbekistan recently to promote awareness about human rights among students and to fulfill the responsibility of TSUULL to the community. The visit is planned around International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (29 September) to make a clear call to action for public and private entities to take action to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) toward transforming agrifood systems to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 agenda.

During the visit TSUULL students will meet Ms. Gulnoz Mamarasulova, a Director of the Representative Office of the Sweden-based Association of Central Asia in Uzbekistan.
Priorly, she held a constituent Assembly of the National Council of the Independent Civil Society with a Representative Office in Tashkent, where she united activists from different regions of Uzbekistan under one idea at the end of December, 2021. The main goal of the Council is to involve citizens in active participation in the life of society, control over the observance of human rights issues and work on the democratization of society. Members of this Council are now actively involved in public life, working to highlight social issues in their areas, raise public awareness and find solutions to problems.
She studied at the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in the field of Philology.
She is engaged in scientific activities and in August 2021 received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Philology from the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also, three of her prose collections were published, and in March 2020 she was admitted to the membership of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.
In 2022 she was a Member of the Independent Commission established under the Ombudsperson on July 2022 demonstrations in Karakalpakstan.
In 2023 a Member of the Public Council on Preventive Mechanisms of Torture in Prisons under the Ombudsperson of Uzbekistan.
