Uzbekistan - Azerbaijan: The Timeles Bonds of Longstanding Friendship
On May 23, an international scientific-practical conference was held at Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University on the topic "The History, New Era, and Prospects of Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan." The conference was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan National Culture Center in Uzbekistan.
The conference was organized by the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Republic Azerbaijan National Culture Center. It began with a visit to the Fuzuli Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Scientific Research Center, which was established at the university. The guests got acquainted with the facilities of the center and the activities of the researchers.
During the plenary session of the conference, the Chairman of the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries, R. Qurbanov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, and the Chairman of the Republic Azerbaijan National Culture Center, Mobil Mamedov, delivered speeches.
