University Hosts Thrilling Cybersport Tournament
Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature recently held the university stage of the Student Cybersport Championship, an event that sparked enthusiasm and showcased rising digital talent among students.
Organized in line with Rector’s Order No. 01-168 dated June 11, 2025, and the directive of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Letter No. 3/15-2025, June 5, 2025), the championship took place on June 12 as part of the “Dolzarb 90 Kun” initiative.
The competition featured four exciting categories: Dota 2, CS2, FC25, and the dynamic digital dance game Just Dance. A total of 30 students took part, engaging in intense matches marked by sharp strategies, quick reflexes, and strong team spirit.
The atmosphere was electric as students demonstrated not only exceptional gaming skills but also leadership, coordination, and tactical thinking. The final results saw fourth-year students of the Computational Linguistics department dominate the leaderboard:
Kamoliddin Qodirov claimed first place,
Bekzod Odilov secured second,
and Rahmatjon Nigmatov took third.
All three earned the right to represent the university in the next round of the national championship.
More than just a competition, this championship served as a platform to promote digital literacy, foster a healthy spirit of competition, and highlight the role of cybersport in developing technological competence and teamwork among students.
