
TSUULL Welcomes TÜRKSOY General Secretary, 24 February
As part of official visit to Uzbekistan, TÜRKSOY General Secretary Mr. Sultan Raev met with TSUULL University Rector, Prof. Shuhrat Sirojiddinov.
On February 24, 2023 Mr. Sultan Raev, General Secretary of the International organization of Turkish Culture and Arts TÜRKSOY visited Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navo’i.
Mr. Raev expressed his satisfaction to be present at TSUULL University. During the joint meeting, the parties discussed the signing of a Memorandum between TURKSOY and TSUULL University in the coming months, and the organization of an international conference on ‘Alisher Navo’i and the 21st Century’ that will be held jointly with TURKSOY in the coming years.
Also there was an exchange of views on the preparation of various publications of representatives of Uzbek classical literature and thinkers, who made a significant contribution to world civilization in the field of knowledge.

Some facts about the history of the organization:
The Agreement Concerning the Joint Administration of Turkish Culture and Arts (TÜRKSOY), drafted by Türkiye’s initiative and efforts has been signed in Almaty in 1993. TÜRKSOY, which has diplomatic status as an international organization, same year began its activities. The official language of TÜRKSOY is Turkish and its headquarters is in Ankara. TÜRKSOY member countries are: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Gagavuz Yeri of Moldova and some autonomous republics of the Russian Federation participate in its activities as observers.
TÜRKSOY has been established with the objective to strengthen cooperation in the fields of culture and arts between the countries of Turkish origin and language. The organization also aims to ensure better understanding and to deepen friendly relations and contacts between these countries as well as to protect and promote Turkish culture.
