
TSUULL Talks Program: an Expert in Communications Holds a Guest Lecture for TSUULL Students, 12 May

TSUULL opens up a dialogue with the Student Community to raise awareness on a social work perspective to SDGs. The problems such as poverty, climate change, global warming, and social and environmental sustainability concerns constitute obstacles to achieving sustainable development goals.
On 12 May 2023, Tlegen Kuandykov, a Communications Officer at Central Asia Barometer (CAB), delivered a public-talk to TSUULL Students on the profession of Communications Officer, their primary duties, and how you can become one. The guest lecture took place via Zoom at TSUULL University Room 312 on Friday. The lecture was held in English and was also attended by 35 students from various faculties. The topic aroused great interest, thus many questions ensued.
The second part of the lecture focused on exercises and Q&A sessions. Students had an opportunity to exile their professional skills in practice and ask their questions.
This is an executive role that manages the marketing and communication teams to develop advertising campaigns, write and distribute press releases to the media, find new ways to disseminate information about the company/organization, establish brand recognition, and push for a stronger presence on social media. The Communications Officer is also in charge of establishing internal announcements and publications, such as newsletters, emails, product releases, video presentations, and special projects or events.
