TSUULL at the second Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum 2024, 5 March

On March 4-5, Higher education leaders and institutions from the UK and Uzbekistan came together to explore the  university collaborations as engines for positive change in the major higher education conference organized jointly by two countries educational institutions.

Government officials from Uzbekistan, alongside representatives from universities in both countries, individuals from the private sector, and esteemed members of international organizations, convened at the Forum to engage in constructive dialogue and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing higher education policy. Among the distinguished participants stood TSUULL, proudly representing Uzbekistan's academic community and actively contributing to the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and expertise.

During the Forum, TSUULL representatives seized the opportunity to foster meaningful partnerships and dialogue with counterparts from renowned institutions such as the University of Westminster, University of Portsmouth, and University of Reading in the UK. Through insightful discussions and collaborative initiatives, they sought to explore innovative approaches and best practices in higher education policy, with a shared vision of enhancing educational standards and opportunities in both Uzbekistan and the UK.

Throughout the course of the two-day event, a diverse array of key priorities in higher education were deliberated upon, reflecting the evolving needs and aspirations of students, educators, and stakeholders in Uzbekistan and the UK alike. Emphasis was placed on the multifaceted nature of these priorities and the importance of adopting inclusive, holistic strategies to address them effectively.

Of particular significance were discussions surrounding transnational educational (TNE) collaborations, which emerged as a cornerstone of the Forum's agenda. Participants delved into the various modalities and mechanisms through which TNE collaborations can be leveraged to promote academic excellence, cross-cultural understanding, and international mobility. From joint degree programs to research partnerships and student exchanges, the Forum provided a platform for stakeholders to explore innovative ways of fostering collaboration and mutual benefit in the realm of higher education.

 

As the Forum drew to a close, participants departed with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to advancing the shared goals of educational excellence, innovation, and collaboration. TSUULL, along with its counterparts from the UK and beyond, remains steadfast in its dedication to shaping the future of higher education and empowering students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
