TSUULL Hosts a Public-Talk on Promoting SDG 4 ‘Quality Education: What makes education good’ with Ms. Diana Reznik, 20 June

TSUULL contributes to the UN SDGs through its teaching and community projects. Our Public Lecture Program TSUULL Talks is a part of the University's efforts to contribute knowledge, thought-leadership and innovative ideas to the region.

SDG 4 Quality Education is believed to break the cycle of poverty if achieved, therefore it is considered one of the primary goals of UN SDGs. It aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. 

A guest lecture on ‘SDG 4 Quality Education: What makes good education’ was held offline at the international office hall of the university on June 20, 2023 with the 19-year-experienced educator, psychologist and a representative of the International Child Development Program in Uzbekistan, the founder of an educational company that trains novice teachers and prepares students for passing international exams and studying abroad, the methodologist of online courses and the public speaker - Diana Reznik. 


The lecture addressed the topics in education from the early childhood care and educational process to the further primary and secondary education locally and internationally. The main point of quality education has been described as ‘Every child     has the fundamental right to quality education - one that helps them acquire basic literacy and numeracy, enjoy learning without fear, and feel valued and included, irrespective of where they come from. Later, main targets of the SDG4 - free primary and secondary education, equal access to quality Pre-primary education, eliminate all discrimination in education, equal access to affordable technical, vocational and higher education, increase the number of people with relevant skills for financial success, universal literacy and numeracy, education for sustainable development and global citizenship, build and upgrade inclusive and safe schools, expand Higher Education Scholarships for developing countries, increase the supply of qualified teachers in developing countries -  have been enunciated and their importance has been stressed. 

The audience was exposed to some real-life based situations which excerpted questions and encouraged them to try to find solutions and as well justify their answers. The lecture was finalized with the suggestions on how to learn more on the topic and a few online courses and books were recommended.
