TSUULL DELIVERED A PUBLIC TALK TITLED “YOUTH FOR GREEN SPACE”, 7 NOVEMBER, 2024

On November 7, 2024, the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (TSUULL) successfully hosted a public talk titled “Youth for Green Space” as part of its ongoing #TSUULLTalks series. The event was delivered by Feruzbek Sayfullayev, Head of the Information Service at the non-profit organization Ekolog.uz and an eco-volunteer with over 13 years of professional experience in the field of ecology.
In his presentation, Mr. Sayfullayev highlighted the urgent need to engage youth in protecting, restoring, and promoting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. He stressed that young people are key agents of change in addressing global ecological challenges, from biodiversity preservation and combating desertification to advancing sustainable urban planning.
The speaker also drew attention to the importance of public awareness campaigns, civic engagement, and educational initiatives in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In particular, the discussion focused on SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), underscoring their relevance to sustainable development in Uzbekistan and beyond.

The talk brought together students, researchers, academics, and environmental activists, who engaged in an open dialogue and shared perspectives on the role of youth in ecological sustainability. Participants noted that such discussions inspire greater responsibility and provide practical knowledge for building greener, more sustainable communities.
By hosting this event, TSUULL once again reaffirmed its mission to promote global dialogue, encourage environmental awareness, and empower youth to contribute actively to sustainable development goals.
