
TSUULL at the 6th General Assembly of the Turkic University Union of the Organisation of Turkic States, 23 November
Hosted by Kazakh-Turkish International Khoja Ahmed Yassawi University, in its capacity as the current chairing University, the 6th General Assembly of the Turkic University Union of the Organization of Turkic States was held on 23 November 2022 in the city of Turkistan – the Spiritual Capital of the Turkic World.
The General Assembly was attended by University Rectors, Vice-Rectors, high level officials and representatives of 49 universities from member and observer states, namely, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Hungary.
TSUULL University Rector Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Nozliya Normurodova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Nodir Jo'raqo'ziyev participated in discussions: during the assembly meetings, reports on the activities of higher education institutions belonging to the Union of Universities of the Turkic States were heard, future plans were discussed.
In particular, the evaluation of the ‘Orkhun exchange program’, as well as suggestions regarding the allocation of grants and the organization of internships for students in 2023 were heard. In addition, new membership applications to the ever-expanding Union of Turkish Universities were considered.
Speaking at the meeting, TSUULL Rector noted that specialists trained as a result of the Turkology Joint Master's Program established between TSUULL and Kazakh-Turkish International Khoja Ahmed Yassawi University are actively participating in the development of the field of Turkology in Uzbekistan today. The university trains specialists in the in-depth study of Turkic languages, in particular Uzbek Language and Literature, its folklore and dialects.
We hope that the cooperation with the Universities of the Turkic Council will be an important factor on the way to achieve effective results in terms of the quality of education, scientific potential, and social progress of the brotherly nations.
