ToshDO‘TAU Students – Winners of the Orhun Exchange Program
Students of Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (ToshDO‘TAU), Abdullayeva Nasiba and Akbarova Mushtariy, are currently pursuing their studies at Ege University in Izmir, Türkiye, as participants of the prestigious Orhun Exchange Program.
Nasiba Abdullayeva, a student of Group 308, is studying at the Faculty of Education (Eğitim Fakültesi), while Mushtariy Akbarova, a second-year Master’s student majoring in Uzbek Literature, is enrolled at the Faculty of Turkish Language and Literature. Since the beginning of the semester, both students have been actively taking part in various cultural and academic events.
During the “Welcome to Ege” week organized by Ege University, Nasiba and Mushtariy attended concerts and other engaging activities. They also participated in a series of meaningful events and workshops held within the framework of “Erasmus Days,” including:
- Marbling art making (ebru workshop)
- Tile art workshop
- Relay race
- International lunch event
- Welcome cocktail and other cultural activities

In addition, topics related to the history and literature of Uzbekistan were also highlighted during their stay. Notably, Mushtariy Akbarova actively participated in an academic symposium dedicated to “Jadid Press.”
Importantly, the Orhun Exchange Program serves as an exceptional opportunity for talented students, especially those from low-income backgrounds, to study abroad for one semester. As part of the program, students receive full tuition waivers along with free accommodation in university dormitories and free three-meal-a-day dining services, making international education more accessible and inclusive.

This experience not only contributes to students’ academic and creative development but also strengthens intercultural communication and friendship. Through the Orhun program, ToshDO‘TAU students gain an invaluable opportunity to deepen their expertise, acquire international experience, and build a strong foundation for becoming highly qualified specialists in the future.
