Talented Girls Admitted to University Ahead of Schedule

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s visit to Navoi region was marked by significant social, political, and economic events. During the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured School No. 22 in Farovon district of Navoi region. The school was commissioned in 2024 and employs 104 teachers selected through a competitive process to deliver high-quality lessons based on modern educational programs and best international practices.

The President held a warm and sincere conversation with students. During the interaction, two 9th-grade students — Odina Yoqubova and Gozalxon G'ayratova — impressed the President with their love for literature and poetry, strong public speaking skills, and exceptional knowledge. In recognition of their talent, the President granted them the opportunity to pursue higher education on a fully funded state grant at prestigious universities.

Recently, the Rector of Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, academician Sh.Sirojiddinov, visited Navoi and met with the gifted students. During the meeting, Odina Yoqubova and Gozalxon G'ayratova were officially awarded certificates confirming their early admission to the University. After completing school, the talented students will be enrolled without entrance exams and will study on a state-funded basis.

As part of our commitment to educational equity, the University always ensures that talented school students from low-income families — especially girls — are provided priority access to higher education on a fully funded basis. Supporting gifted young women from financially challenged backgrounds remains a key mission of our institution, helping them unlock their potential and contribute to the future development of our country.

We firmly believe that these talented young women will justify the trust placed in them and make a meaningful contribution to the progress of our nation.
