Successful Cooperation Within the Erasmus+ Programme
From May 19 to 23, 2025, Akmal Abdiyev, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, paid a working visit to the University of Bialystok in Poland as part of the Erasmus+ programme under the “Staff Mobility for Teaching” component. The primary goal of the visit was to deliver lectures at the partner institution, share pedagogical experience, and deepen international cooperation.
During his stay, Akmal Abdiyev conducted four interactive lessons at the Faculty of Philology on the themes of Friendship, War and Conflict, Road Travel, and Changing World. These sessions received high praise for their engaging format and for sparking active student participation and motivation to learn. In addition to teaching, productive discussions were held with local faculty members to exchange methodologies and explore future collaboration opportunities between the two universities.
A key outcome of the visit was a meeting with the project coordinator, resulting in a preliminary agreement to extend the bilateral partnership for another year and to initiate student exchange programmes.
At the conclusion of the visit, Akmal Abdiyev was awarded a “Program Completion Confirmation” certificate, officially recognizing his teaching contribution. This experience proved to be significant not only in terms of academic enrichment but also as a valuable exercise in cultural exchange and strengthening international ties.
Mr. Abdiyev expressed his intention to share the insights gained with his colleagues and to remain actively involved in future international initiatives. Visits such as these, within the framework of Erasmus+, open new doors for Uzbekistan’s higher education system and play a pivotal role in advancing global academic partnerships.
