THE PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK PUBLISHED IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE "BABURNOMA" WAS HELD at TSUULL, 8 July
This year, the 540th anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur is widely celebrated not only in Uzbekistan, but also in many countries of the world.
The masterpiece of Babur's "Boburnoma" is the historical-biographical work which is skillfully arranged on the basis of extremely important and multifaceted information. This memoir book can be considered as an incomparable living encyclopedia in terms of content. "Boburnoma" is an excellent example of a mirror reflecting the ancient values, treasures of the intellectual and spiritual world of our people. To date, this work has been translated into about thirty languages of the world. Today, a perfect Italian translation has been added to these publications.
This publication was created as an effective and bright example of literary, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Uzbek and Italian peoples. It was published in high polygraphic quality by the publishing house "Sandro Teti Editore", one of the leading Italian publishing houses specializing in historical, scientific and popular literature.
On July 8, 2023, a presentation of the book "Boburnoma" published in Italian was held for Uzbek readers at Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. Literary experts, well-known intellectuals, writers, cultural workers, young people, in a word, lovers of literature, as well as Italian publisher Sandro Teti, book designer Laure Peretti took part in the ceremony.
"Boburnoma" was translated into Italian based on Wheeler M. Texton's translation. Those who spoke at the event said that Texton's translation preserved more of the poet's style and ideas than other English translations, corrected the shortcomings of previous translations, and provided complete information.
