Preparations Underway to Support Incoming Students
In accordance with Order No. 269 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 30, 2024, a special working group has been established at Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature to ensure comprehensive support for incoming students.
The working group is currently inspecting rental apartments located near the University campus to assess living conditions. The Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, G. Jo‘rayeva, personally visited the accommodations to review the facilities provided for students and offered necessary recommendations. Representatives of the University met with landlords of around fifty rental apartments located in the "Rakatboshi" and "Tepa" neighborhoods of the Yakkasaroy district, discussing rental prices and ensuring student safety. The University’s senior preventive inspector is also conducting a detailed assessment of safety conditions in the rental accommodations.

As a result of targeted efforts, a comprehensive database of verified rental apartments will be created and will soon be published on the University’s official website and social media pages.

Importantly, 100% of students who are unable or unwilling to live in the University dormitory receive full assistance from the University in securing rental accommodation, and the University covers 100% of the rental cost. This support is especially crucial for students who fall into the bottom 20% of the household income group, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder access to safe and comfortable housing or their academic success.
