Legal Literacy and Creative Expression

At Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature, an educational and cultural event dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. During the event, the essence and significance of the newly revised Constitution were conveyed to students, aiming to raise legal awareness and promote the role of the Basic Law in society. Special attention was also given to ensuring the participation of low-income students so that they, too, could access legal education and opportunities for creative expression.

Throughout the event, a number of initiatives were implemented to increase student engagement. For instance, under the hashtag “My Constitution – My Pride!”, creative photos and video clips were shared on social media, providing young people with an opportunity to present their understanding and knowledge of the Constitution to the wider public. In addition, study visits were organized to state institutions in city and district centers under the motto “The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the guarantee of a free and prosperous life,” allowing students to gain firsthand insight into the public administration system. These visits were made inclusive to ensure the participation of socially vulnerable and low-income students as well.

The university also hosted roundtable discussions explaining the key amendments of the revised Constitution and their importance. Students received answers to their questions directly from legal experts. At the end of the event, the “Constitution Expert” intellectual quiz was held, designed to strengthen legal knowledge among students and stimulate active participation. The most active participants were awarded memorable gifts.

This event served as an important step toward enhancing the legal literacy of the younger generation, deepening their understanding of the significance of Constitution Day, and further increasing their engagement in social life - with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and supporting students from low-income backgrounds.
