Korean Volunteers Choose TSUULL: A New Chapter in International Partnership

In a remarkable testament to the growing global reach of Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (TSUULL), representatives from the Korean International Development Cooperation (KIDC) have selected the university as their key partner in Uzbekistan. During a high-profile visit, KIDC officials met with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Nozliya Normurodova, to celebrate the flourishing collaboration between TSUULL and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Korean volunteers, they noted, greatly value the opportunity to work alongside TSUULL—an institution renowned for its academic excellence and proven partnership.

This visit culminated in a groundbreaking agreement that will see 15 KIDC volunteers from some of Korea's top universities immersing themselves in the vibrant cultural and educational atmosphere of TSUULL. Over the next four months, these volunteers—experts in fields ranging from occupational therapy and child care to social welfare and philology—will embark on a deep dive into Uzbek language and culture. More than just language study, they will also receive intensive cultural training, equipping them with the knowledge and understanding to make a meaningful impact.

Once their training is complete, these volunteers will fan out across Uzbekistan, bringing their expertise in Korean language instruction to various regions. Five volunteers will remain at TSUULL, offering students the chance to learn directly from native speakers. This dynamic exchange is just the beginning, with the promise of future collaborative projects already on the horizon, further strengthening ties between TSUULL and Korea and setting the stage for continued mutual success.
