"Intercultural communication and tourism" annual international online conference at TSUULL
On June 10, 2013 an international online conference on "Intercultural communication and tourism" was held at the initiative of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Tourism in cooperation with Ankara Haji Bayram Veli University, Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University named after NA Dobrolyubov.
The Rector of our university, Professor Sh. Sirojiddinov together with the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation N. Normurodova welcomed conference participants with their opening remarks.
The professors of Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University including S.Kolobova, professor of Washington University N.Akles, professor of Ankara Haji Bayram Vali University A.Akalin made their reports during the conference. This annual conference addressed issues of tourism and education, their interaction and prospects for development, intercultural relations in the tourism system in the context of globalization.
Moreover, the conference dealt with the international experience of pilgrimage tourism management. It is known that the role of tourism in the socio-economic development of the country is invaluable. The conference served to address these issues, to form a positive image of Uzbekistan in the world, to demonstrate the attractiveness of the Uzbek national culture in terms of cultural exchange. The discussion of issues of intercultural communication and tourism with the participation of leading experts from around the world has increased its relevance. It is worth mentioning that the conference was comprehensive and useful.
