TSUULL University contributes to the UN SDGs through its teaching and community projects. Our Public Lecture Program TSUULL Talks is a part of the University's efforts to contribute knowledge, thought-leadership and innovative ideas to the region.

Due to on-going INNO Week at University, a guest lecture on ‘Indigenous World and SDGs: Indigenous Peoples' Rights, Wellbeing and Dignity’ was held online on 16 October 2023 by Ms. Sargylana Atlasova, a Representative of Sakha, Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Advocate, Member of International Indigenous Communities and Organizations.

The ambitious 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires bold changes across the United Nations. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is imperative for a safe and secure future of prosperity, opportunity, and human rights for all. SDGs are universal, interlinked, and indivisible and demand that the UN System reinvents itself to better serve the Member States and people.

The audience demonstrated great enthusiasm towards the issues arising in the society faced by indigenous community, and the causes and potential resolutions were suggested by both parties - the lecturers and the audience.

The lecture was finalized with the suggestions on how to learn more on the topic and a few online courses and books were recommended.
