The First Uzbek-Tajik Rectors Forum Results: TSUULL University Signs Four Agreements with Tajikistan Universities, Dushanbe, 14 March

A Uzbek-Tajik Rectors Forum that was held in Dushanbe on 14 March has resulted in the signing of a number of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Addendum which further strengthens an inter-institutional relationship for joint higher education and research initiatives.

The Rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navo’i (TSUULL University), Prof. Shuhrat Sirojiddinov and the representatives of Tajikistan Universities both warmly welcomed the signing of the cooperation agreement which took place at the Tajik National University Hall on Tuesday, 14 March 2023.   

During the Forum, MoU were signed between four prestigious higher education institutions (HEI) of Tajikistan and TSUULL University:

Tajikistan International University of Foreign Languages named after S. Ulugzoda;
– Khujand State University named after B. Gafurov;
– Panjikent State Pedagogical University named after S. Aini;
– Panjikent State Pedagogical Institute 

In those memorandums, the organization of exchange of students based on academic mobility, the holding of joint scientific seminars, conferences and forums, the learning opportunities for Tajik students to study online and offline at TSUULL University, the publication of papers by academic community (professors, researchers and students) in the scientific publications of partner HEIs such important issues as printing are provided.

TSUULL Rector Prof. Shuhrat Sirojiddinov emphasized that TSUULL University will play a key role in the development of programs for teaching Uzbek language and literature in Tajikistan, and will support partner universities of Tajikistan in this direction in educational and methodological terms. Besides, it was agreed to gradually expand cooperation in the field of language teaching methodology, pedagogy, source studies, textual studies, literary studies.
