Experienced Turkish Language Teachers Expected to Join Our University
On June 20 of this year, our university welcomed Mr. Abubakir Aydin, Education Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Uzbekistan. The guest met with Ms. Nozliya Normurodova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. He was accompanied by experienced Turkish language instructors Mr. Mustafa Kuzucu and Mr. Hüseyin Ka'ba, who had taught Turkish at our university for five years.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature has established strong academic and scientific ties with many educational institutions in Türkiye. In particular, the opening of the Uzbek Language and Culture Center in the city of Bursa earlier this year, initiated by our university, was highlighted as an important step in strengthening friendship between the two nations.
As a result of discussions aimed at further expanding cooperation in education, an agreement was reached to establish a Turkish language track at the university's academic lyceum. Since the contract period for the currently working Turkish specialists has come to an end, proposals were made regarding attracting new qualified instructors to continue Turkish language education. The incoming Turkish language teachers are expected to teach both university students and academic lyceum pupils.

Notably, as part of this cooperation, year-round Turkish language courses will be organized completely free of charge, which is especially important and beneficial for students from low-income families eager to gain language skills and expand future opportunities.

The meeting concluded with practical proposals to further enhance and diversify bilateral cooperation in the future.
