
Entrance Examinations Successfully Held at the Institute of Independent Research
On May 28, 2025, entrance examinations were successfully conducted at the Institute of Independent Research of Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. The exams covered a wide range of academic specializations, including Uzbek Language, Uzbek Literature, Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics and Translation Studies, Textual Studies and Literary Source Studies, Theoretical Linguistics, Applied and Computational Linguistics, as well as the Theory and Methodology of Education and Upbringing.
The examination process was carried out with a high degree of organization, transparency, and integrity — a clear indicator of the university’s commitment to upholding the highest academic standards in assessing candidates’ knowledge. An experienced committee composed of leading scholars actively participated in evaluating each applicant with thorough attention and fairness. Their professional approach and objective judgment played a vital role in the success of the examination.
All applicants responded to discipline-specific questions related to their proposed dissertation topics, demonstrating their preparedness and scholarly potential. Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Dr. Nozliya Normurodova, personally oversaw the process, ensuring its smooth and proper execution. Moreover, for added transparency, online access was provided to monitor interviews conducted across the various disciplines.
