The department of Masters Degrees
The Department of Masters Degrees operates in accordance with the "Regulations on Masters Degrees ", which came into operation by the Resolution No. 36 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 2, 2015.
Aims of the department
The main goal of the Department of Masters Degrees of Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature is to train highly qualified, highly cultured, well-educated and spiritually mature, competitive masters in accordance with international standards.
Tasks of the department
- The Department of Masters Degrees of the university is an educational, scientific and administrative unit of the university, which prepares masters in several specialties.
- Coordinating the activities of the University with the relevant departments and deans, as well as relevant departments;
- Ensuring and monitoring the fulfillment of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Education, Decrees, Resolutions and Orders of President, Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, Resolutions, orders, letters, modemograms and telephone messages of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, as well as resolutions of the University Council and orders of the rector in faculties, departments, divisions;
- Familiarizing students with the content of decrees and resolutions adopted by the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Drawing up mutually beneficial contracts between the university and enterprises, organizations, private enterprises and firms, as well as monitoring their fulfillment;
Rights and responsibilities of the department:
- Coordination and control of masters’ preparation of all departments of the university;
- Assistance in organizing and fulfilling masters’ preparation process;
- Control over the quality of education and training provided to graduate students;
- Control over the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to professors and teachers involved in masters’ preparation process, increase their social, professional and personal involvement;
- Systematic analysis of the current situation in the department of masters degree, identifying problem situations, determining the priorities for the development of masters studies;
- Carrying out regular motoring on the future employment of masters;
- Supervising the activities of masters in the preparation of scientific-pedagogical, research and master's dissertations according to the calendar work plan of masters in accordance with the Regulations on Master's Degrees";
- Analysis of master's degree issues and preparing regular report on them;
- Ensuring the effective organization of the defense of the master's dissertation.
