Azerbaijani Poetess Khuraman Murodova Honored as an Honorary Professor at TSUULL

In a momentous event on August 19th, Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi proudly bestowed the title of Honorary Professor upon the esteemed Azerbaijani poetess, Khuraman Murodova. This distinguished recognition reflects her significant contributions to the cultural and literary ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, further solidifying her legacy as a prominent figure in the literary world.

Khuraman Murodova, renowned for her literary prowess and public influence, is the author of the celebrated book Uzbekistan - My Motherland. Her work has resonated deeply with readers, capturing the spirit of unity among Turkic peoples. A member of both the Azerbaijani and Turkish Writers' Unions, Murodova's influence extends beyond her homeland. She is an Honorary Professor at the Turkish Academy of Sciences, a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, and holds honorary memberships in esteemed institutions, including the Mahmud Kashgari Literary Fund. Her academic credentials are further highlighted by her position as an academician of the International Academy of Literature, Art, Culture, and Social Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Since 2021, Murodova has been a vital force in fostering closer literary relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Her tireless efforts were fittingly recognized with the Honorary Professorship at TSUULL, underscoring the deep appreciation for her work in promoting cultural solidarity.

  

The award ceremony was a grand affair, attended by high-profile dignitaries such as Huseyn Guliyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, the Rector of TSUULL, and a gathering of prominent scholars, poets, and faculty members. In their speeches, the attendees lauded Murodova's poetic achievements, particularly highlighting her role in celebrating the shared heritage and unity of the Turkic world.
