“ACHIEVING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN UZBEKISTAN”, 25 OCTOBER, 2024

On October 25, 2024, Elyor Norpulatov delivered a lecture at the TSUULL International Office as part of the #TSUULLTalks series. The session explored Uzbekistan’s environmental challenges and highlighted innovative approaches to sustainability, particularly through youth-driven initiatives and international cooperation.
Mr. Norpulatov explained how volunteerism can be a powerful instrument in tackling ecological problems, from community clean-ups and tree-planting campaigns to larger nationwide initiatives. He stressed the importance of integrating environmental education into schools and universities to create long-term awareness and responsibility among the younger generation.

 

The talk also shed light on Uzbekistan’s efforts in environmental diplomacy, including regional cooperation on water management, combating desertification, and partnerships with international organizations. Elyor emphasized that solving environmental issues requires both local action and global solidarity.
