ACADEMIC WRITING AND SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS”, 5 FEBRUARY, 2024
On February 5, 2024, Yusupov Samandar, Chairman of the Society of Young Philological Scientists and President’s Stipend Holder, delivered a workshop titled “How to write a scientific article and prepare for government scholarships” for TSUULL students and the general public. The session focused on the essentials of academic writing, preparing scholarship dossiers, and gaining practical skills for successful applications.
During the workshop, Mr. Yusupov gave a detailed explanation of how to write a scientific article — from choosing a research topic and structuring the paper to referencing correctly and avoiding plagiarism. He stressed the importance of clarity, originality, and critical thinking in presenting research.
He also explained the process of scholarship preparation, including how to build a strong CV, collect academic transcripts, write an effective motivation letter, and secure quality recommendation letters.
Special attention was given to showing the connection between academic achievements, personal goals, and the requirements of scholarship programs
Mr. Yusupov underlined the benefits of mastering these skills, such as better chances of publication, increased access to scholarships and grants, and stronger career opportunities both in academia and beyond. Drawing on real success stories, he shared practical tips on time management, motivation, and persistence in the application process.
