Academic Presence in Yangihayot: Progress, Stability, and Well-Being

On January 3, 2025, Shuhrat Sirojiddinov - Rector of Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, academician, and Deputy of the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies - held a community meeting in the “Choshtepa” mahalla of Yangihayot district. The gathering was attended by the chairpersons of “Choshtepa,” “Yangi Umid,” “Oriyat,” “Yangi Darxon,” and “Tashabbus” citizens’ assemblies, along with local residents.

During the meeting, Shuhrat Sirojiddinov highlighted the key tasks outlined by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasizing that both economic and spiritual development play a crucial role in the country’s progress. He discussed strategic plans aimed at expanding the national economy, improving the social protection system, advancing youth education, and strengthening support mechanisms for low-income families to ensure inclusive and equitable development.

In particular, he elaborated on measures within the Uzbekistan–2030 strategy designed to increase economic performance, launch major national projects, reduce poverty, and improve the living standards of the population. He also stressed the importance of equipping young people with modern knowledge and professional skills, as well as expanding the number of schools and higher education institutions across the country.

Furthermore, Shuhrat Sirojiddinov used the meeting as an opportunity to closely examine the pressing issues faced by local residents. He listened to their appeals and suggestions, assuring them that practical solutions and necessary actions would be developed to address these concerns. The event concluded with a call for the community to unite and actively contribute to achieving the national development goals.
