Zaynabidin Sharabidinovich Abdirashidov - Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor. He has been working as the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at TSUULL since March 5, 2018.


Zaynabidin Abdirashidov has graduated from Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in 1996 with the speciality of an orientalist-philologist. In 2010, he defended his doctoral dissertation on Central Asian Studies at the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Humboldt University, Berlin.


Zaynabidin Abdirashidov's scientific-research direction is called  "The formation and development of Jadidism in Turkestan in the late XIX - early XX centuries. In his research, he published articles and books particularly under the themes of problems directed to tackle the issues of Uzbek literature and literature criticism in the early XX century, as well as the internal and external factors that influenced the formation and development of Jadidism in Turkestan. His research interests include "Turkestan in the Early 20th Century: Socio-Political and Intellectual Processes" (2019), "Mahmudkhoja Behbudi and His Journal Oyna"  (2019), Ismail Gasprinskiy i Turkestan v nachale XX veka: svyazi-otnosheniya-vliyanie.


Zaynabidin Abdirashidov studied at Al-Azhar University (Arab Republic of Egypt) from 1993 to 1995. From 1996 to 1999 he worked as an engineer, head of International affairs department of the State Fund for Scientific and Technical Information under the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He was a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor in Uzbek Philology faculty at the National University of Uzbekistan between 2001 and 2016 years.
In 2014-2015, he was a Professor of the Center for Slavic-Eurasian Studies, Hokkaido University (Japan), the Research Center for Asian and African Languages and Cultures, University of Foreign Languages, Tokyo during 2018.

Between 2016 and 2018 years he worked as the head of Oriental Languages Department at Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. From 2018 to 2020 he worked as Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences. He was awarded the International Bakir Chobanzoda Prize (Ukraine) in 2012, the International Ismail Gasprinsky Prize in 2015 and the Bilge Tonyukuk Prize (Turkey) in 2020 for his fruitful work in scientific and pedagogical work. He is a member of the editorial board of a number of prestigious national and foreign scientific journals.
