Central-Asia-Regional-Coordinator in strengthening civil society talks about sdg realization in Uzbekistan in public talks at TSUULL series, april 28

To tackle critical issues around the globe, today, the whole world is striving to reinforce SDGs in all communities. To monitor and evaluate the implementation of the goals in all regions, a plethora of NGOs operate around the world. One of these NGOs is established in Germany and called ‘Dekabristen’. Berlin-based NGO that focuses on the strengthening of civil society in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North and South Caucasus, advises and supports NGOs, grassroots initiatives, social enterprises, artists and journalists. In projects it deals with free media, feminism, urbanism and youth, political education as well as Sustainable Development Goals.
An expert of this NGO - Anna Petukhina - reports the data on all SDGs realization in Uzbekistan as well as informs about advice and support to spread the goals and to take small or big acts on them.

Along the seminar, the expert reminiscences the grounds for the UN SDGs Project  in 1992 aka ‘Earth Summit’ and quotes the UN board as:

Achieving sustainable development would require the active participation of all sectors of society and all types of people.

With the great urge of involvement of all global citizens, it is mentioned that Uzbekistan is in the list of VNR. Anna defines the term VNR as a process which aims to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The VNRs also seek to strengthen policies and institutions of governments and to mobilize multi-stakeholder support and partnerships for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The expert shares the country statistics on SDG implementation, and expresses her excitement by the achievements. She says, in particular, the food security, quality education, health and well-being aspects of civil life have impressively been undertaken.

As the seminar comes to its end, the expert calls the audience to take part in the global week to act for SDGs. Anna adds that the campaign is organized every September of the year and UN and key partners mobilize millions of people around the world to take action on the SDGs.

All Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015 are covered and discussed in the seminar within the statistics of implementation advancement percentage.
