In an effort to expand access to inclusive education and break communication barriers for vulnerable groups, a Sign Language Interpretation Club for community members from low-income families has been launched at Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. This initiative aligns with national policies supporting social protection, education accessibility, and equal opportunities for all. The club operates within the framework of the university’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, complementing the previously established Sign Language Interpreting Club. A dedicated classroom with modern equipment has been allocated to ensure participants can learn in a comfortable and supportive environment. Under the leadership of experienced sign language specialist Ma’mur Ahliddinov, the club provides structured learning pathways for individuals who wish to acquire interpretation skills but may not have the financial means to pursue such training independently. |
The program is designed specifically for community members from low-income families, offering them free access to both theoretical lessons and hands-on practice. Participants learn the foundations of sign language, interpretation techniques, communication ethics, and situational translation skills. The training aims not only to equip learners with practical abilities, but also to empower them to support deaf or hard-of-hearing family members, neighbors, and broader community members. Upon completion of the program, participants undergo an assessment conducted by experts from relevant institutions, ensuring high-quality training and real-world readiness. Graduates who successfully pass the final examination receive certificates of completion, creating new opportunities for employment, volunteer service, and active involvement in inclusive initiatives across the country. |
