At TSUULL, the primary sources of inorganic waste include the university canteen, coffee shops, buffets, classrooms, lecture halls, administrative and staff offices, as well as student dormitories. The treatment process begins with waste separation, which serves as the first and most essential step in managing inorganic waste effectively.
To promote responsible waste disposal, separate waste containers are strategically placed across the entire campus. The university community, comprising students, faculty, and staff, regularly receives training and awareness sessions conducted by the Sustainability Office on the importance of waste separation and recycling.
Collected waste is transported daily to the Solid Waste Storage Facility, where it undergoes manual sorting into categories such as aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, cardboard, and paper. This careful separation ensures that all recyclable materials are properly diverted from the general waste stream.
The Sustainability Office oversees the management of recyclable waste, including plastic, paper, and glass, which are sold to local recycling companies for further processing and reuse. Through these efforts, TSUULL not only minimizes environmental pollution but also fosters a culture of sustainability and responsible waste management within the university community.
