TSUULL Public Talks Series: Orhun Exchange Program Alumni
On April 25, TSUULL International Office organized another session of its “Public Talks.” These events, now a well-established tradition at the university, not only support the delivery of high-quality education but also help broaden students’ perspectives and prepare them to become well-rounded professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to society. As part of this initiative, lectures on urgent topics are regularly delivered by experienced specialists, guest experts, and students with international exposure. The Public Talks also contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting inclusive, quality education and strengthening international cooperation.
The latest session featured students who had studied abroad through the “Orhun” Exchange Program, who shared their academic and personal experiences. Among the speakers were fourth-year students Shodiya O‘ktamova from the Faculty of Translation Theory and Practice and Nasiba Abdullayeva from the Faculty of Uzbek Philology. They spoke in detail about their studies at the Azerbaijan University of Languages and Ege University in Turkiye.
During the session, the speakers provided practical guidance on applying for exchange programs, highlighted key differences in academic systems abroad, and discussed cultural environments and the challenges of adapting to a new setting. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants received detailed answers to their questions about international grants and educational opportunities.

Overall, these Public Talks play a significant role in encouraging students to take advantage of global opportunities, expand their knowledge, and confidently position themselves in an increasingly interconnected world. Hosting such engaging and motivational events has become an important and valued tradition at the university.
