TSUULL Hosts Roundtable Discussion as Part of Friendship Week
As part of "Friendship Week", organized in celebration of 30 July – Friendship of Peoples Day, a roundtable discussion entitled "The Role of Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations in Strengthening Interethnic Harmony and Promoting Friendship" was held at Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (TSUULL).
The event was attended by Gulnoza Jo'rayeva, First Vice-Rector of TSUULL, along with representatives of government and public organizations, national cultural centers, the Republican Advocacy Group, and higher education institutions.
The roundtable was organized to promote interethnic harmony, foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance in society, and support the implementation of the priorities outlined in the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy. Discussions focused on strengthening friendship among different ethnic communities, enhancing the effectiveness of educational and awareness-raising initiatives, and promoting civic unity.
Representatives from the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent City Administration, the Republican Advocacy Group, and various national cultural centers shared their perspectives on promoting interethnic harmony and fostering a culture of tolerance throughout society.
During the discussion, Gulnoza Jo'rayeva emphasized the vital role of educational institutions in instilling patriotism, interethnic solidarity, and universal human values among young people. She also highlighted the university's ongoing efforts to support these objectives through education and community engagement.
At the conclusion of the event, participants reaffirmed the importance of continuing initiatives aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, expanding cooperation between governmental and non-governmental organizations, and promoting the values of friendship, solidarity, and mutual understanding among the younger generation.
