Message of congratulations from Mr. Eiji Mano, Researcher of the Japanese Academy of Sciences and Honorary Professor of Kyoto University

 

- First of all, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Eiji Mano. I am a Japanese and I am an academician of Japan Scientific Academy and a professor emeritus at Kyoto University. My specialty lies in Central Asian history and Turkic philology, especially philological study of Baburnamaof Zahir al-Din Muhammad Babur Mirza. Thank you very much for your kind invitation to participate in the six-year anniversary of the foundation of the University of Uzbek Language and Literature Named after AlisherNavaii and to offer my congratulationson the six-year anniversary of that foundation. I am most happy to accept your invitation. Congratulations on reaching the six-year anniversary of the foundation ofthe University. I understand that the main goal of the foundation ofthe University in 2016 was to targetthe restoration of national values and the revival of the leading status of Uzbekistan as the cultural, educational, and scientific center for the peoples of Central Asia. Among the missions of the University, the comparative and research work on Turkic dialects and the further development of research into the Uzbek language and literature at international levels are of most interest tome. I became aware oftheUniversity through Dr. Ziyodakhon Teshavoeva, who is a current member of the University. I really hope the University continues to progress and make a great contribution to the development of Turkic Studies, especially to the progress of Turkic philology.
